The Master who brings us back to the Source of Wordlessness
Linji was one of the greatest Zen masters in history. He pointed directly to the original mind — beyond language, concepts, and every form of distinction. His famous shout was not meant to make a sound, but to split open the sky of our illusions and bring the practitioner back to their original clarity.

Cuong Lu
Cuong Lu is the teacher who embodies and transmits the spirit of the Linji tradition. From the eighth century onward, this transmission has been passed down from master to disciple, generation after generation. In an unbroken stream, it reached him as well.

He embodies the living heritage of Master Linji in the twenty-first century. His teaching is steeped in the essence of Linji and goes beyond words, thoughts, concepts, and all forms of reasoning.

From this vision, he founded the No Word Zen community — of invisible monks living with no words and no thoughts. His students are numerous and scattered worldwide, carrying forward the vital force of the authentic Linji Zen tradition.
