Lâm Tế Chánh Tông
The Lamp-Transmission Chart — forty-three generations of dharma transmission, from Patriarch Linji Yixuan through Chinese and Vietnamese Chan masters, down to Thích Nhất Hạnh and Cuong Lu.

This chart is the result of cross-referencing Chan transmission records, dharma-lineage genealogies, and the surviving historical sources of the Linji school. Its purpose is not to assert a single, definitive line of transmission, but to present a lamp-transmission system built on the evidence currently available. Entries marked "no longer extant" or left blank reflect either a loss of records or insufficient material to determine the link. Any corrections or additions, when grounded in credible sources, are welcomed as part of the ongoing work of research.
